RATT's signature sunset strip sound made the Los Angeles based outfit one of the most popular rock acts of the mid-'80s. As the story goes, RATT helped pioneer Hollywood’s legendary hard rock sound and scene and are proven true rock legends, headlining massive arena tours. Since 1983 to present, the band has sold in excess of 15 million albums in the US alone. Their first 4 records went Platinum plus.
RATT released their self-titled first album independently in 1983 and never looked back after that. Their first major label release, Out of the Cellar proved a multi-platinum breakthrough and was subsequently followed by more platinum smashes including; Invasion of Your Privacy (1985), Dancin' Undercover (1986) and Reach for the Sky (1988). By then the band had become mainstays on the radio with songs like the blockbuster anthem "Round and Round," “Wanted Man,” and “Lay it Down” and was touring the world over, spreading their infectious brand of Ratt ‘N’ Roll to the masses.
2017 RATT prepares to take their live show out on the road for a series of tour dates. The RATT line-up features original members Stephen Pearcy, Warren DeMartini, Juan Croucier with the addition of Carlos Cavazo.
“Our music is like it was in the beginning; it means everything to us,” Pearcy says. “And here we are 30+ years later, keeping Ratt N’ Roll alive.”
“When we play concerts now, there’s a new generation. We’re seeing kids of people who grew up with us, but the reaction is the same,” adds guitarist Warren DeMartini. “It doesn’t seem to matter where we are in the world.”
“It’s the dawn of a new beginning for RATT,” and it’s time to give the people what they want,” says bassist Juan Croucier.
